According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the areas off U.S. coasts possess an offshore wind potential of nearly double the nation’s current electricity use. U.S. energy generation needs are predicted to increase by 10-20% over the next decade, making offshore wind a critical technology in meeting this significant demand growth.
